Public Witness to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament
Croí Íosa (Heart of Jesus) is a Catholic apostolate dedicated to promoting devotion to the Holy Eucharist through public Eucharistic processions across Ireland.
Our mission is to bring Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament, into the heart of our towns and cities, encouraging people of all ages to publicly witness to their faith and deepen their relationship with Our Lord.
Through prayer, hymns and Eucharistic processions, Croí Íosa seeks to foster renewed devotion to the Holy Eucharist and help bring the Catholic faith into the streets of Ireland.
Why Not Bring Jesus Into the Streets Once Again?
Croí Íosa was founded by Karen and Brian Brady from a simple desire: to bring Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament into the streets once again and encourage renewed public witness to the Catholic faith in Ireland.
That desire led to the first Croí Íosa Eucharistic Procession through Dublin City, beginning at St Peter’s Church, Phibsborough, and continuing through O’Connell Street to St Mary of the Angels Church.
Led by Fr Brendan Kealy and Fr Fergal Cummins, around 1,000 people joined together in prayer, hymns and joyful witness to the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
Along the route, people stopped as the Blessed Sacrament passed. Some blessed themselves, some knelt in prayer and others simply stood in respectful silence.
“When can we do this again?”
The question asked again and again after the first procession.
Karen & Brian Brady
Hear Karen and Brian share the story behind Croí Íosa, how the apostolate began and their hope for a renewal of public devotion to the Holy Eucharist in Ireland.
Bringing Christ to the Streets of Ireland
Since that first procession, the mission has continued to grow, bringing together Catholics in public prayer and witness in Dublin, Athlone and beyond.
The Holy Eucharist
At the heart of Croí Íosa is faith in Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.
Public Witness
Our processions bring the Catholic faith into our towns and cities through prayer, hymns and joyful public witness.
A Growing Community
Priests, religious, families, young people, prayer groups and volunteers come together to make each procession possible.
Be Part of the Mission
Our hope is to see Eucharistic processions become a regular expression of Catholic faith throughout Ireland.
By bringing Christ into our streets, we seek to inspire prayer, strengthen Catholic communities, encourage young people in their faith and invite everyone to encounter the peace and joy found in Jesus Christ.
Whether you are joining us for the first time or have walked with us from the beginning, you are warmly invited to be part of this growing mission.
